Le premier Buonaparte (bonaparte) dont il soit fait mention dans les annales modernes est Jacques Buonaparte, lequel, augure du conquérant futur, nous a laissé l'histoire du sac de Rome en' 1527, dont il avait été témoin oculaire. Napoléon - Louis Boha parte, fils aîné de la duchesse de Saint - Leu, mort après l'insurrection de la Romagne, a traduit en français ce document curieux à la tète de la tra duction, il 'a placé une généalogie des Buonaparte.
