The understanding of the human condition underlying micropsychoanalysis, a new form of analysis developed by Silvio Fanti, is drawn from the concepts of sub-atomic physics, astronomy, and molecular biology, as well as those of classical psychoanalysis. From the cradle to the grave, we all spend our time trying out or testing something - conducting trials. According to Silvio Fanti, the trial is the dynamic unit of a neutral and universal void, of which we human beings are part and in which we have our origin. In his attempt to plumb the void, Fanti has applied the insights of psychoanalysis to the unconscious in order to evolve the concepts and techniques of micropsychoanalysis. In practice, micropsychoanalysis is based on extended and intense psychoanalytic sessions of free association with clients on an almost daily basis. In this book the author first sets out the basis of his discoveries and then goes on to focus on the key human conditions of sleep-dreaming, aggressivity, and sexuality, paying particular attention to the intra-uterine state. In a final section, he explores the oscillation between normality, neurosis, and psychosis; psychosomatic problems; and the psychic experience of the elderly. Detailed material brought to sessions over many years by clients in micropsychoanalysis is used to illustrate the points the author makes in each chapter.
