Biographie de l'auteur
Sam Oglesby has spent most of his life living and working in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, the Kingdom of Bhutan, Bangladesh, and other faraway places. In this memoir covering more than sixty years, he takes us through palaces, slums, a war, a revolution, and a disastrous cabaret performance. Oglesby was educated at the University of Virginia and the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies. He worked as a diplomat and an international civil servant before moving to the South Bronx, where he gardens and sings in the shower.
