She was therefore excited to keep those stories alive by publishing them in a children's book. She and her husband, Patrick, reside in Lafayette, Louisianadeep in the heart of Cajun countrywhere they currently co-own and operate Soper Studio. Mrs. Soper is an active member of the Lafayette Public Library Foundation Board. The lush surroundings of his south Louisiana home and studio often influence the work of award-winning illustrator Patrick Soper. The work of Patrick Soper, a member of the Society of Illustrators, has appeared in national publications such as Outdoor Life, Organic Gardening, and West Coast Book Review.
