Born in 1945, Patrice Canal is a graduate of the Nancy School of Mining Engineering. After working for 7 years at Total (then CFP) in the Geophysics department and 5 years at CISI, he joined CGG (Compagnie Générale de Géophysique) in 1981, where he has held a number of senior positions in the Innovation, Research and Development and Industrialisation departments. In 1995 he was appointed Vice-President for Marketing and is currently Senior VP for Business Development for the Eastern Hemisphere. Born in 1941, Pierre-René Bauquis is a graduate of ENSG (the Geology and Mining Engineering school of Nancy, France) and of ENPSM (IFP School) in Economics and Management. After five years at IFP (the French Oil Institute) as an economist and professor, he worked for thirty years in the Total Group, where his jobs included Head of Group Strategy and Planning. He is currently Associate Professor At ENSPM (IFP school) and professorat TPA (Total Professeurs Associés).
