'Hombres de Maíz' is a programme devoted to the anonymous songs of the peoples of Latin America, those who since time immemorial have called themselves 'men of maize'. It also concerns the music of their Italian alter egos, the most modest inhabitants of town and countryside, especially from the north of the peninsula, those who adopted maize as their staple diet as early as the 16th century, shortly after the discovery of the New World.
