Présentation de l'éditeur The third volume in a series of five collections of short stories from one of the most original thinkers in the genre. This third volume of Philip K Dick’s stories is drawn, like Second Variety (the second volume), from his most prolific period as a short story writer. The 23 items were written in little more than a year, before his first novel appeared. Many of them are previously uncollected, but also included are several of his most famous stories, such as Foster, You’re Dead, a powerful extrapolation of nuclear-war hysteria, and The Golden Man, a very different story about a super-evolved mutant human. This is a marvellously varied collection by a writer whose posthumous reputation continues to grow and grow.
