Film tie-in edition of the hugely popular novel which has sold over 5 million copies worldwide. It all starts on the 100th birthday of Allan Karlsson: a special party is planned in his old people's home, but Allan decides he's not going to be there. He climbs out of the window in his slippers and makes his getaway. It's the start of a picaresque and unlikely journey involving criminals, several murders, a suitcase full of cash and incompetent police. The Swedish language film will be released in Sweden in December, followed by a worldwide cinema release in early 2014.

Biographie de l'auteur
Jonas Jonasson was born in Sweden in 1962. He has a professional background as a journalist and media consultant. The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared is his first novel which Jonasson describes as 'An intelligent, very stupid book'.
